Indianapolis, Indiana – iRacing and INDYCAR are pleased to announce a multiyear licensing agreement – officially reuniting the two legendary brands.
The relationship, which dates back more than a dozen years, also includes Indianapolis Motor Speedway – and the return of the hugely popular iRacing Indianapolis 500 – to the gaming format’s Special Events calendar. This annual event has historically drawn thousands of participants, who race in a virtual version of the world’s most iconic race, known for its 200 laps of pure speed at the “Racing Capital of the World.” The community event allows sim racers from around the world to get a taste of what it is like to race at the famous oval at the Brickyard.
The return of a license has been highly anticipated by iRacing members and INDYCAR SERIES fans alike.
“The INDYCAR SERIES and the Indianapolis Motor Speedway are racing properties that need to be included in iRacing,” iRacing President Tony Gardner said. “There is no better way for fans to experience sim racing than on iRacing, and whether it’s the INDYCAR SERIES’ Indy 500, NASCAR’s Brickyard 400 or IMSA’s Battle on the Bricks, there is nothing like racing at Indianapolis. I am so pleased to be able to bring these events back to the iRacing community.”
In addition to the rebranding of INDYCAR SERIES events on iRacing, members will have access to series content for private events and leagues.
“We are very excited that our most avid gamers and fans will have full access to the INDYCAR SERIES through this licensing agreement with iRacing,” said Ben Hendricks, INDYCAR senior manager, eSports & emerging virtual experiences. “They are longtime partners, and we look forward to official INDYCAR SERIES racing on iRacing for many years to come.”
The new license agreement between iRacing and INDYCAR includes more provisions than previous iterations, allowing more flexibility to run events and series. Highlights include:
- Return of the iRacing Indianapolis 500
- INDYCAR SERIES branding of series on iRacing
- Multiple leagues to run INDYCAR SERIES events on iRacing
- License extension of Indianapolis Motor Speedway
The licensing agreement goes into effect immediately, and iRacing members will see the rebranding of series, cars and events over the coming days. Details of the iRacing Indianapolis 500 will be available later this month.

Toronto, Ontario — Billed as the quickest car in the world, the innovative and groundbreaking Rimac Nevera will headline the opening of Media Day at the 2024 Canadian International AutoShow — the first time the car will be seen at an auto show in Canada.
Designed, engineered and handcrafted in Croatia, the Nevera is a fully electric “hypercar 2.0” that boasts 1,914 horsepower and a top speed of 412 km/h, reaching 100 km/h in 1.81 seconds, and 300 km/h in less than 10 seconds. Named after the quick and mighty storms that form over the Mediterranean Sea and race over Croatia, the Nevera reflects its namesake — a force like no other. Striking with exceptional speed and severity, it is a new generation of hypercar that proudly carries both the name and the characteristics of this unique meteorological force of nature.
Mate Rimac, Bugatti Rimac CEO, and Paul Cummings, the CEO of Toronto luxury car dealer Grand Touring Automobiles — which will be showcasing the Nevera in its exhibit at the AutoShow — will be part of the Media Day opening ceremony with the expanded AJAC Canadian Car of the Year Awards, before heading into a tour of new vehicles being seen in Canada for the first time.
“The Canadian International AutoShow is the best showcase in Canada for the latest innovations and advancements in the automotive world,” says Jason Campbell, General Manager of the AutoShow. “Besides the newest models that will be hitting showroom floors from the world’s leading automotive manufacturers, the AutoShow is the only place where you can see unique and innovative vehicles like the Rimac Nevera up close and personal.”
From a carbon fibre monocoque core to a bespoke 120kWh battery, cutting-edge software and a signature design, the Nevera is powerful and exceptionally strong. Each wheel is independently powered by a dedicated electric motor, channeling torque accordingly and resulting in unprecedented control and agility.
Nevera’s minimalist cockpit is divided into two zones, designed for both sport and comfort. The top is optimized for driving pleasure and performance, while the lower half houses the infotainment system, comfort controls and driving data. With space for two with their luggage, Nevera is as much a capable grand tourer as it is a hypercar.
“On behalf of Grand Touring Automobiles and myself, we are honoured to represent Rimac in Canada,” says Mr. Cummings from Grand Touring Automobiles, which will also help mark its 50th anniversary at the AutoShow. “With world-leading performance and advanced technology, Rimac is becoming the benchmark for electric hypercars. We are excited to be a partner with the Rimac team to capture its potential in the Canadian market.”
During the public days of the AutoShow, the Nevera will be found in the Grand Touring Automobiles display on the 700 level of the South Building of the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
The Rimac Nevera is one of more than 30 automotive brands that will be in the spotlights of the show floors during the AutoShow. Super Luxury brands such as Lamborghini, Bugatti, Pininfarina, Bentley, Rolls-Royce, Aston Martin, Zagato, The Little Car Company, Himalaya will also be on display alongside Rimac in the Grand Touring Automobiles display at the AutoShow. It will be the first time Rimac, Zagato, Himalaya or The Little Car Company have ever appeared at the Canadian International AutoShow.
Returning from the 2023 AutoShow are Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet, Chrysler, Dodge, Fiat, GMC, Hyundai, Jeep, Kia, Lexus, Nissan, Ram, Subaru, Toyota, VinFast and Wagoneer, with Porsche, Ford, Lincoln, Infiniti, Polestar, Volvo and Genesis returning to the AutoShow for the first time since the global pandemic.
Grand Touring Automobiles is Canada's largest luxury, super-luxury and hyper-luxury vehicle retailer, offering unparalleled expertise in selling, servicing and maintaining Rimac models. With highly skilled, factory-trained technicians and state-of-the-art facilities at its Toronto location, Grand Touring Automobiles ensures that every Rimac receives the utmost care and attention, protecting each owner's investment.

Toronto, Ontario — A Porsche designed for the virtual world is making its real-life North American auto show debut at the 2024 Canadian International AutoShow.
The Porsche Vision Gran Turismo is the German automaker’s first concept study for a car created specifically for use in a video game. Porsche production vehicles have been a mainstay in Gran Turismo video game series since 2017, but the Vision GT was designed exclusively for Gran Turismo 7 for the PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 5 platforms.
A life-sized concept of the Vision GT will be one of the exciting showpieces of Porsche’s return to the Canadian International AutoShow, which will also be the iconic company’s largest presence at the event, with a 10,000-square-foot display on the 700 level of the South Building at the Metro Toronto Convention Centre.
“It is great news to be able to welcome Porsche back to the AutoShow, with some interesting and exciting cars to showcase along with the Vision GT,” says Jason Campbell, General Manager of the AutoShow. “The Vision GT exemplifies the vision and creativity of vehicle design, a showcase of innovative thinking and approach that you can only see at the AutoShow.”
While designing a concept car for a video game is free of the challenges that would be faced while designing a production concept, the Vision GT is unmistakably a Porsche. With a sporty height-to-width ratio, an extremely low-set bonnet and very pronounced wings, it displays the brand’s standout design features. The lights and integrated air intakes create a visual link to the design language of the Taycan – a nod to the car’s purely electric drive. The rear is adorned with a markedly narrow light strip – a further development of the light signature that is familiar from the 911 and Taycan models.
Inside, the Vision GT has a curved hologram display that appears to float above the steering wheel. Low seating lends to the car’s dynamic feel, while a sustainable approach was taken, such as using entirely vegan materials in the concept.
