The FIA World Endurance Championship makes its way to Autodromo Internazionale Enzo e Dino Ferrari, regularly referred to as Imola Circuit. The 19-turn, 3.050-mile-long circuit presents a tough drive to any competitor willing to take on the challenge. This year’s challenger, Duqueine’s Issotta Fraschini, attempts to make a splash in the second round of the season after a disappointing season opener.
After a mechanical issue ended their first race of the season early, driver of the #11 Carl Bennett, and the other two-thirds of his driving trio Antonio Serravalle and Jean-Karl Vernay, are looking forward to a fresh start on a new track.
“We didn’t quite get the results we were looking for in Qatar,” explained Bennett. “We’ve got a new opportunity ahead of us this weekend and we’re going to make the most of it. I have confidence the #11 car is more than capable of fighting up at the front, and the team and I are going to do our best to make it happen.”
Carl Bennett would like to welcome his new partners racing alongside him this weekend: OMP Racing, the leader in racing accessories technical wear, and Racing Spirit, garments made by enthusiasts for enthusiasts that can be worn every day, in free time or during racing events, ranging from the paddocks of the hottest F1 races to the service parks of winter rallies, in every weather condition.
The weekend will kick off with two practice sessions on Thursday followed by one final practice session and a four-part qualifying session on Friday. Saturday will see the green flag for round two of the FIA World Endurance Championship at 1:00 PM local time (GMT+2). A live stream of all weekend action can be found here.
