Elkhart Lake, Wisconsin – Turn 3 Motorsport will head into round three of the Blue Marble Cocktails Radical Cup North America at Road America this weekend joining a record size grid currently consisting of 39 entries for the three-race showcase. The sportscar series will run alongside the NTT IndyCar Series at the REV Group Grand Prix for one of the biggest events of the season.
During the first two rounds of the Radical Cup, driver of the #10 Eastern Shipping SR3 RSX 1500 car Antoine Comeau scored six 1500 class and two overall race wins while teammate and driver of the #20 Eastern Shipping SR3 RSX 1340 car Eric Wagner earned three 1340 class podiums and a pole position. After a notable start to the season, T3M will advance into the weekend as the leaders in the overall driver championship, 1500 class, 1340 class, and team championship.
“I’m very excited to be joining the NTT IndyCar Series at Road America this weekend,” said Team Owner Peter Dempsey. “I have competed and worked with various teams in the IndyCar series for the last 10 years, so to now have my own team be a part of an IndyCar event is very cool. It is a huge event for the Radical Cup, too; having 39 cars entered into the series will make it a challenging weekend for all of the teams. I’m really looking forward to the weekend, and hopefully we can keep our run of good results going with both Eric (Wagner) and Antoine (Comeau).”
This weekend’s Radical Cup events will include three test sessions, two practice sessions, a qualifying session, and three 40-minute races with a mandatory pitstop during the final race. On-track activity kicks off with the first test session at 10:55 am CST on Thursday, June 20.
