Brock St. Brewing Company Creates “61 Larger” To Honour CTMP’s Racing History

Bowmanville, Ontario - Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) announced today their new partnership with Whitby, ON craft brewery Brock St. Brewing Company for the 2019 season.

Opened in 2015, the award-winning brewery’s premium craft beers will be featured at CTMP’s Turn 1 Beer Garden for four major events this race season, including the upcoming Castrol Victoria Day SpeedFest Weekend (May 17 - 19). Additionally, the two brands are partnering to create a unique product available only at CTMP. 61 Lager will feature Brock St.’s award winning Blonde Lagered Ale, presented in an exclusive tall-can with a retro motorsport design to honour the racing culture and history at the track.

“We are very pleased to partner with Brock St. Brewery for the 2019 season,” said CTMP President and General Manager, Myles Brandt. “We’re proud to have a local brewery here at the track, and we know that Brock St. delivers high-quality craft beers that have become popular since they opened only a short few years ago.”

Brandt continued that, “CTMP is also very excited to unveil 61 Lager at Castrol Victoria Day SpeedFest, and since the name pays homage to the year in which our track opened, and to our heritage of racing, we believe it will be a big hit with fans new and old.”

Apart from 61 Lager, Brock St.’s award winning Irish Red and Bohemian Pilsner will also be available in the Turn 1 Beer Garden for fans to enjoy.

Along with the exclusive tall-can, the brands will also be celebrating nearly 60 years of racing at CTMP on social media with the hashtag #61Stories. These social posts will commemorate the history of the track with the motto, “if this track could talk, think of the stories it would tell.”
