Edmonton, Alberta - At the wheel of the #04 Spectra Premium / Bernier Crépeau / Groupe Bellemare / MIA car, Jean-François Dumoulin was expecting a completely different outcome yesterday, on the circuit of the Edmonton International Raceway (Alberta). During a pit stop made in the first third of the race due to a small incident, the team has made a change to the suspension settings, among other things. The results of this change have been positive, since Jean-François Dumoulin was able to cover the last 150 laps of the race at an interesting rhythm.
Following the practice session, Jean-François Dumoulin was hoping to benefit from improvements made to the #04 Spectra Premium / Bernier Crépeau / Groupe Bellemare / MIA car (understeering on corner entry, and oversteering on exiting) for the qualification, while keeping efficient settings for the race (300 laps) and long relays. "We've made multiple changes for the qualifiers, though this didn't change the car's behavior."
Qualifying is done on new tires that the driver will also start the race on. On a short track (13- to 14-second laps) such as this one, drivers take one or two laps to get the tires up to operating temperature (and thus pressure) and then go all-out for one or two (The maximum allowed) timed laps to set their quickest time and get off the track. Qualified in sixteenth place, the #04 Spectra Premium / Bernier Crépeau / Groupe Bellemare / MIA team has chosen safer settings for the race (significant changes to tire pressures, weight distribution and stagger).
"Between Saskatoon and Edmonton, the team has proceeded with a general verification of the electrical system and fuel supply. However, problems occurred again during the race. We will relocate power lines and other modifications in order the ensure strong performance for the next oval track race (Antigonish, Nova-Scotia, 19 août 2017). It's encouraging, since the second half of the race allowed me to match the times of the leaders. Believe me, we'll be ready for Trois-Rivières", explains Jean-François Dumoulin.

THE MAIN CHARACTERISTICS OF THE NSCR100 RADIATOR
Full aluminum radiator, using optimal balanced material thickness to minimize weight.
Heavy gauge tubes for increased durability.
Reinforced first rows of tubes to increase mechanical resistance without compromising coolant flow.
The oil cooler, also made of aluminum, is incorporated in the radiator’s tank, eliminating any additional weight, as well as extra hoses and connections, which frees up space under the hood of the car.
The design includes anchor points, which allow for installation and removal of the radiator in a faster and more efficient way (special tools are no longer necessary) all while allowing inclination of the radiator in the desired angle for optimized air flow.
Robust installation of the radiator on the shroud, using quick connectors as used in planes and high-performance race cars.
Integrated lightweight fan brackets allowing a secure and robust installation of a wide range of electric fans with minimal airflow restriction.
A standard threaded insert system for quick and reliable fan installation.
A universal connection inlet port offering painless customization of the coolant hose circuit, based on each racing team’s needs.
Radiator vent relocation to avoid damages in the event of a light frontal collision
