Toronto, Ontario – This May, Cineplex Events brings audiences back to the golden age of motorsport with a first-hand look at the most demanding and difficult track in motor racing history, the Nürburgring race track. Directed by Hannes Michael Schalle and featuring never-before-seen footage, special outtakes and exclusive interviews from past and present motor racing legends, The Green Hell screens in Cineplex theatres across Canada on May 10 and 25, 2017.
Given it’s terrifying name by none other than three-time Formula One™ World Champion Sir Jackie Stewart, The Green Hell features Stewart on the big screen with peers including Sir Stirling Moss, Jochen Mass and Lewis Hamilton, all describing what it means to get behind the wheel at Germany’s famed Nürburgring race track.
Filmed in stunning 4K, the documentary is narrated by the legendary Murray Walker and SKY Sports F1 lead commentator David Croft. The Green Hell also features extensive commentary from Niki Lauda, who knows better than most the threat posed by the Nürburgring, having cheated death and suffering life-altering injuries there during the 1976 German Grand Prix.
