Peterborough, Ontario – Canadian Touring Car Championship driver Kyle Tasker along with Laps for Muscular Dystrophy (Laps4MD) are proud to announce a successful campaign to raise funds in support of “Butterflies for Khloe” at the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo.

Tasker and Laps for Muscular Dystrophy joined together to support a Peterborough family and their little girl Khloe, who was recently diagnosed with a form of Muscular Dystrophy known as Spinal Muscular Atrophy (SMA), a rare incurable genetic muscle-wasting disorder.

On Saturday March 12th, Kyle Tasker was joined by Matthew and Jessica Madgett and their daughter Khloe at Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo. Together Kyle Tasker and Laps for Muscular Dystrophy sold paper butterflies to show attends raising $824 in support of this Peterborough family.

Khloe is quickly beginning to lose any type of independent mobility. The goal was to ‘Cover Kyle’s Car’ in Butterflies for Khloe. Tasker and Laps for Muscular Dystrophy will be donating the funds raised by the sale of the paper butterflies at Motorama to Khloe’s family to help assist in her care.

Laps for Muscular Dystrophy and Tasker aim to help make a difference by raising these funds to help the family through this diagnosis. “Khloe and her parents will face many challenges in the coming weeks and years. As a parent myself I was compelled to help in any way I could. I wish to thank the organizers of the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo and show attendees who purchase butterflies for their support of this initiative.” said Tasker.
