Hockenheim, Germany – Canadian race car driver David Richert was able to finish strong and close out the 2015 Formula Renault NEC race season with a positive result.
The triple header race weekend took place at the famous Hockenheimring in Germany and for the most part, the weather conditions were perfect. But it was Race 2 on Sunday morning that provided the dramatic turn to the weekend as the skies opened up and a deluge of rain brought extreme conditions to the circuit. Even driving the cars to the starting grid proved to be a challenge as several drivers had off track adventures into the gravel. Richert was able to survive the conditions and finish with a 15th place result.
Races 1 & 3 were under much better conditions and Richert finished 17th and 16th respectively.
"Finishing 15th in the rain was a great result for us as cars were sailing off the race circuit everywhere. Visibility was almost zero so I was happy just to keep my car on the track and finish as high up the order as possible. It was an exciting way for us to end the race season". -David Richert
