Sixth race weekend of the DTM season in Moscow (28th - 30th August)

Stuttgart, Germany – This coming weekend (28th - 30th August), the Moscow Raceway in Russia will be hosting the DTM for the third time. The Mercedes-AMG DTM drivers will be contesting Rounds 11 and 12 of the 2015 campaign.

The track: Situated approximately 80km north-west of the Russian capital, the Moscow Raceway has been a DTM fixture since the 2013 season. The circuit was designed by Aachen-based architect Hermann Tilke and opened in 2012. Since 2014, the 3.931 km version of the Moscow Raceway has been used.

"I'm looking forward to Moscow. It's a track that hasn't really suited us in the past, but I think everyone at Mercedes is trying hard. We are definitely focused on improving the results we had in the last two races there. Our car is much better this year than in 2014 and 2013, so hopefully this weekend we can get a different outcome and score some good points on both days. As far as I'm concerned, I just want to finish the race. It's been four races in a row now without finishing. Most of the time due to things beyond my control."

"Moscow is a very different circuit compared to the last ones. It is very flat, with a lot of low and medium speed corners. It's quite a technical track and one we haven't been very successful on in the past. But the pace of the Mercedes, and especially my car, over recent weekends has been very strong and very encouraging. So we are certainly going to Moscow looking to have another strong performance, and I will try to get near the front of the field. For the second half of the season, I will definitely try to get more podiums and to get on the top rung after so many times being second or third in the first half. Also, we need to build up the experience of ART. They are still a new team, but they are doing a very good job."  

Paul Di Resta (29, Scotland):

"I had a relaxing summer break after the successful Spielberg weekend. We were in Edinburgh where we visited family and friends, which was really nice, especially with the feeling and the knowledge that the car is competitive this season. I am very pleased to be able to get behind the wheel again in Moscow. This coming weekend is important for us, and I hope we are able to score good results in Russia, just like we've been doing in recent races."

"I know the track in Moscow from competing in Formula 3 there last year. I'm looking forward to the weekend, because it's something different. The track has the potential to produce a cool race. There are long straights, especially going into the final corner, but there are also technically demanding sections. But in any case, Mercedes and I will prepare well for the conditions. That good result in the second race at Spielberg in front of my home crowd has obviously provided an additional boost to my motivation for the coming race weekend."

"After the most recent race weekend, I spent a few days with my girlfriend travelling around the Allgäu and the Tegernsee in my mobile home. It was very relaxing, but of course I've also been using the summer break for a lot of training and to prepare myself for the coming races. Moscow is certainly exciting and a great challenge for me. I've never been to the track, and I only know it from what I've seen on TV. I finished in the points for the first time in the most recent race. But I'm not making any predictions about points for the coming weekend. I don't know how it's going to work out for me, and I'm just going to take it as it comes. However, it's sometimes the case that surprises turn out to be very positive and that you acquit yourself well on a track that is new to you. That's obviously what I'm hoping for. In any case, it's important that we find a good standard set-up for the team, and then I'll approach the job in a composed fashion."

"I'm pleased that the summer break is coming to an end and that we'll soon be seeing the DTM cars back on track in Moscow. We have used the time to concentrate further on our performance. We hope that we will also give a good account of ourselves in Russia, just as we have done in the last few races. When you've been leading the driver and team standings up to the halfway mark in the season, it's obviously the intention to keep the championship open for as long as possible."
