Monza, Italy – Canadian race car driver, David Richert, is set to begin the 2015 race season this weekend at the ultra high-speed circuit of Monza just outside of Milan, Italy.
From Friday till Sunday, the historic circuit of Monza will host the opening two rounds of this season's Northern European Cup (NEC) championship. 31 drivers from 19 different countries, ranging from all over Europe to Russia, Asia, Africa and North America, will take part in this weekend's events.
This will be Richert's second time competing at Monza as he looks to rebound from a mechanical issue in last years event that forced him to start at the back of the field after missing out on both Qualifying sessions of the weekend.
"I'm extremely excited to take a race car around the Monza circuit once again, there is so much history here and it's a very fast circuit. We've had nothing but rain, and even snow, in all of our preseason testing so I'm really looking forward to a sunny and dry track in Italy." - David Richert
The NEC races this weekend will be streamed live at www.formularenault.tv and will also be available for viewing after the race. Refer to the schedule below for race times.
