Scott Hargrove has confimred his participation in the opening round of the 2015 Indy Lights series.

Vancouver, British Columbia – Scott Hargrove and BC Pit Crew are pleased to announce that he will be competing in the Indy Lights presented by Cooper Tire season opening races at the St. Petersburg Grand Prix on March 28th and 29th, driving the #8 car for 8Star Motorsports. Through members of BC Pit Crew, most notably NEWWAY Concrete Forming, this first event has become possible.

In 2014 Scott won Rookie of the Year and Series Runner Up in the Pro Mazda presented by Cooper Tire championship and Rookie of the Year and Series Champion in the IMSA Porsche GT3 Cup Canada championship. In a total of 24 races between the two series, Scott won 9 times and made 20 visits to the podium.

Regarding their decision to provide assistance to make the season opening weekend possible for Scott, NEWWAY’s Principal Ezio Bortolussi stated: “We are very impressed by Scott Hargrove and his accomplishments of the past few seasons. We are very pleased to be on board as a partner for the St. Petersburg Grand Prix, and wish Scott much success for this weekend and the rest of the 2015 Indy Lights Season”

Our pace is very promising and we have no other intentions but to run up front and go for the win. The St. Petersburg Grand Prix is one of my favorite races of the year, the atmosphere is great and the track is a blast to drive. The Indy Lights series looks to be on a real high and I hope to be in the car for the remainder of the season.”
