Daytona Beach, Florida — Beginning in 2024, NASCAR’s Canadian series will be known as the NASCAR Canada Series with Evirum and Pinty’s serving as Presenting Partners. The series, currently the NASCAR Pinty’s Series, is entering its 18th season as the top national motorsport in Canada.

NASCAR officials also unveiled the 2024 schedule for the NASCAR Canada Series, which features 13 races across six provinces.

“Canadian motorsports fans are incredibly passionate, and the new NASCAR Canada Series name appropriately captures their nationalistic pride,” said Chad Seigler, NASCAR chief international officer. “The series features Canada’s biggest racing stars, competing at the top tracks across the country. With an influx of talented young drivers and a garage full of healthy and competitive teams, interest in the series is at an all-time high. We are excited to build off recent momentum and deliver great racing to fans across Canada.”

Pinty’s, which has served as series entitlement partner since 2016, and Evirum are Presenting Partners of the series, with each investing across the industry, including teams, tracks and fan promotions.

The schedule for the 2024 season features a mix of traditional events with a new season finale at Autodrome Montmagny – the first visit to the track for the NASCAR Canada Series and the first series finale to be held in Quebec (Sept. 22). The season will open at Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) on Victoria Day weekend (May 19) as it did every year from 2011-2019.

In between, the series will again race at Riverside Speedway in Nova Scotia with a doubleheader weekend (June 29-30), creating an East Coast Swing following the race at Eastbound Speedway in Newfoundland and Labrador (June 22).

The popular dirt race at Ohsweken Speedway will return for the third year and will move to July 11, before the traditional Western Swing to Sutherland Automotive Speedway in Saskatoon (July 20) and Edmonton International Raceway (July 27).

The Grand Prix de Trois-Rivières, which has been run since 1967, returns on Sunday, August 11.

NASCAR also announced that longtime Canadian motorsports executive Alan Labrosse has been named General Manager of NASCAR Canada. Labrosse, a member of the Canadian Motorsports Hall of Fame, will be charged with growing and promoting NASCAR throughout Canada, which includes oversight of the NASCAR Canada Series. Following a successful career as a driver, Labrosse transitioned to the business side of the sport. He owned and operated Autodrome St-Eustache for 13 years and has served as a promoter, team owner and agent.

All NASCAR Canada Series races air on TSN and RDS in Canada and FloSports in the United States. The full broadcast schedule will be announced at a later date.

Le calendrier de la saison 2024 comprend un mélange d'événements traditionnels et une clôture inédite de la saison, à l'Autodrome Montmagny – à la fois, la première visite à cette piste de la série NASCAR Canada et la première finale de la série se déroulant au Québec (22 septembre). À l’instar des saisons 2011 à 2019, la saison commencera au Canadian Tire Motorsport Park (CTMP) le week-end du « Victoria Day » (19 mai). 

Suivant l’événement au Eastbound Speedway (Terre-Neuve-et-Labrador - 22 juin), la saison 2024 marquera le retour de la série sur le circuit du Riverside Speedway, en Nouvelle-Écosse, pour un programme double (29 et 30 juin), formant ainsi une tournée sur la côte Est.

Labrosse, membre du Temple de la Renommée du Sport Automobile Canadien, sera chargé de la croissance et de la promotion de NASCAR au Canada, ce qui inclut la supervision de la série NASCAR Canada. Après une carrière de pilote réussie, M. Labrosse s'est tourné vers l'aspect commercial du sport. Mooresville, North Carolina - Rette Jones Racing confirmed today the signing of second-generation driver Kyle Steckly for the entire 2024 ASA STARS National Tour schedule beginning at New Smyrna (Fla.) Speedway on Feb. 13, 2024.

The first of a 10-race schedule also confirms the expansion of Rette Jones Racing's Motorsports platform, which is expected to include ASA, the ARCA Menards Series, and NASCAR throughout the 2024 season.

Steckly, the son of four-time NASCAR Canada Series champion Scott Steckly, arrives at Rette Jones Racing with healthy and impressive racing credentials, including the 2023 APC United Late Model Series championship.

Moving his racing endeavors to the United States in 2024, Steckly, 18, is ready for his newest endeavor. With the leadership of former ARCA Menards Series championship crew chief Mark Rette at his side, the combo hopes for an impressive rookie season that leads to contending for the championship.

"I am so thankful for this opportunity to compete in the 2024 ASA STARS National Tour schedule this year," said Steckly, a native of Milverton, Ontario, Canada. "With the support of the Rette Jones Racing team, I believe we can have a competitive season and a year with wins and hopefully bring home the championship.

To finish off a fairytale season, Treyten Lapcevich captured his seventh win this year, as well as the 2023 NASCAR Pinty's Series championship, in dominating fashion at Delaware Speedway.

With 166 laps led in the race, he amasses 1,149 total led during this season, breaking the series record set by his team owner Scott Steckly in 2015 (1090 laps).

The only driver who looked like they had the speed to compete with the No. 20 was teammate and pole-sitter, Kyle Steckly.

The two battled back and forth during the opening laps of the race, with Steckly firmly gaining the lead on lap 25.

However, only 98 laps into the race the No. 22 dropped from the lead and immediately went down pit road with a rear suspension issue. After many tries, the team was unable to the problem, and Steckly was forced to retire from the race.

From there, Lapcevich held onto his lead except for one lap, where on a restart, D.J. Kennington briefly took the lead.

Finishing in second place was the No. 80 of Donald Theetge, who was involved in a wreck on lap 129 and suffered major rear-end damage to his No. 80 Groupe Theetge/XPN Chevrolet.

After making several pit stops for repairs Theetge was able to make it into the top three, battling with D.J. Kennington, who eventually finished third, for the podium spots.

There were many notable drivers that faced problems throughout the race.

Before the race went green, it looked like the bad luck for the No. 27 of Andrew Ranger was going to continue.

Ranger and the No. 27 GM Paillé/Chevrolet Canada Chevrolet team had to pit during the warm-up laps due to a flat tire. The team quickly got Ranger back on track and he was able to rebound to a fourth-place finish.

Defending Delaware winner, Brandon Watson, faced issues while battling in the top-five and later retired from the race due to suspension issues.

Making her series debut, Amber Balcaen from Winnipeg, Manitoba, had her day end early after she was involved in an incident on lap 129 incident, and had to retire from the race.

Reigning series champion, Marc-Antoine Camirand also had his day end on lap 41 due to an engine issue.

Coming home fifth was Kevin Lacroix in his 100th career start. Alex Guenette, Thomas Nepveu, J.P. Bergeron, Dexter Stacey, and Noah Gragson rounded out the top-ten.

The Pinty’s Fall Brawl will be tape-delayed on TSN on Saturday, September 30 at 2:30 p.m. ET and on RDS in Quebec on Saturday, October 21 at 4:15 p.m. ET.
