Caistor Centre, Ontario - Team Turner Racing was busy racing in Southern Ontario on Canada Day weekend. Jamie Turner, Cory Turner, Ryan Turner, and Havard Daniels fought some adversity to bring home a mixed bag of results...and a few broken parts.

FRIDAY, JUNE 27: OHSWEKEN
All four TTR drivers were able to race at the same track on Friday night, as Ohsweken Speedway hosted the annual Sportsman Shootout, along with their regular weekly divisions.

Ryan's only chance to race at Ohsweken this season was looking to produce a good finish. A strong field of 24 DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds started the race, and Ryan had advanced to 5th with only 3 laps to go in the 25 lap feature. The potential top 5 finish went away when a car spun in front of Ryan, and he was forced to stop to avoid a crash. Although disappointed, Ryan and the team were happy that the car was fast, and looked to carry momentum into Sunday's race at Humberstone.

Cory qualified for the 360 Sprint Car feature directly from his heat race, while Jamie and Havard were forced to run the B-Main after they both ran into problems in their heat races. Both were able to qualify from the B-Main, so all three TTR cars started the 20 lap feature. Jamie moved up from 20th on the grid to finish 12th, while Cory finish 13th, and Havard 18th.

Jamie is now 11th in the Ohsweken 360 Sprint Car championship standings, while Cory is 12th and leads the Rookie of the Year standings.

SATURDAY, JUNE 28: MERRITTVILLE
The DIRTcar Sportsman Modifieds had Saturday night off at Merrittville Speedway, but Team Turner was still busy at that track, as the Empire Super Sprints tour came to town, allowing Cory, Jamie, and Havard to have a doubleheader weekend with their 360 Sprint Cars.

The team was busy after the heat races, as Jamie and Cory both had problems, while Havard finished 3rd and got into his first redraw on Canadian soil.

Jamie started 7th in his heat race, and advanced as high as 4th before his left front brake seized up. He salvaged a 6th place finish and transferred to the A-Feature, but Cory was not so lucky, as contact with another car broke his front axle and sent him to the B-Main.

"My crew scrambled to get the car ready for the B-Main, and did so just in time," says Cory. "A huge thanks to them for working so diligently!"

All three cars were ready to start the A-Feature, but things didn't go as planned. The trouble started when Jamie had contact with another car on lap 2 and suffered a broken front axle which put him out of the race. Havard fought an ill-handling car and finished a lap down, while Cory did not finish.

"I had a fast car," Cory explains."My laps times were good. I just started too far back, and ended up getting lapped with a few laps to go, so I decided to park it as I was a lap down and didn't want to get in the way of the leaders."

SUNDAY, JUNE 29: HUMBERSTONE
The Sprint Car portion of the Team Turner weekend was in the books, but Ryan finished the weekend off Sunday night at Humberstone Speedway in his DIRTcar Sportsman Modified.

Ryan started 7th in his heat race and advanced to 3rd, qualifying for the redraw in the process. He started 3rd in the feature, but the team missed the setup slightly, and Ryan fought a tight condition to bring home a 7th place finish.

Ryan is now 9th in the Humberstone championship standings, and continues to be one of the highest-performing Sportsman division rookies at both Humberstone and Merrittville.

WHAT'S NEXT?
Cory, Jamie, and Havard will compete at Ohsweken Speedway on Friday, July 4 when the Southern Ontario Sprints tour visits for a challenge event with the track's weekly 360 Sprint Car teams.

Ryan will be back in action with his DIRTcar Sportsman Modified on Saturday, July 5 at Merrittville Speedway, and Sunday, July 6 at Humberstone Speedway.
