South Boston, North Carolina – The CARS Tour witnessed an exhilarating display of skill and determination last night during the AutosByNelson.com 280 presented at the South Boston Speedway. Treyten Lapcevich, driving the #77 Evirum/BKFC Late Model Stock Car, clinched a remarkable 2nd place finish, further solidifying his reputation as one of the series’ standout drivers. With three top two finishes in his last five races and numerous top 10 results this season, Lapcevich continues to impress on the track.

Starting from the second position, Lapcevich immediately displayed his prowess, aggressively pursuing the lead from the drop of the green flag. Despite the intense competition and relentless pressure from rivals, Lapcevich managed to maintain his position, finishing just behind the leader. Throughout the race, the defending NASCAR Canada Series champion was engaged in a thrilling battle with Ryan Millington and NASCAR Craftsman Truck Series competitor Layne Riggs, much to the delight of the packed grandstands.

“All four lanes are good at South Boston Speedway, so it was very hard to pass Millington,” Lapcevich noted. “We had similar speeds, so I was constantly applying pressure, hoping he would make a mistake, but it never happened. The Chad Bryant Racing team has faced challenges here in the past with this track, but we made a lot of adjustments to the car, and it worked perfectly. The team was very pleased with those new adjustments.”

Lapcevich’s performance underscores his exceptional driving skills and strategic approach, especially given the high level of competition in the CARS Tour, which features some of the best up-and-coming talents in stock car racing.

The 2nd place finish at South Boston Speedway also enhances the Canadian driver recent streak of success and give Lapcevich and the Chad Bryant Racing team a significant boost in confidence to aim for the checkered flag for the next races. With only a few races remaining, Lapcevich and his team are poised to capitalize on their momentum.

The next zMAX CARS Tour race is set for October 12th at Tri-County Speedway, North Carolina. Fans can catch all the zMAX CARS Tour action live on FloRacing.
