Saint-Eustache, Quebec - Kevin Lacroix is determined to secure a podium finish this Sunday at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park. Lacroix will be driving the #74 NAPA Racing Dodge in the final road course event of the NASCAR Canada season.
This race is a chance for Lacroix to make up for his disappointing DNF in May, where a mechanical issue dashed his hopes of victory. Before the problem, he was well on his way to winning the race. CTMP holds a special place for Lacroix, as he has claimed a record number of victories at this track.
"We’ve put in a lot of work this week to get the car ready for the weekend," Lacroix said. "There were some repairs needed after the ICAR race."
He added, "I’m really aiming for a podium finish at CTMP. It’s a track I love, and ending the road course season with a strong result would be fantastic."
The Innovation Auto Sport team is riding high after a double podium last week, with Andrew Ranger taking the win and Lacroix finishing second. Although the championship title may now be out of reach, Lacroix is focused on securing as many wins as possible. He’s aiming to stand on the podium again this Sunday.
Practice sessions will kick off on Saturday at 12:50 p.m., followed by qualifying at 5:25 p.m. The 53-lap WeatherTech 200 will start on Sunday, September 1, at 2:05 p.m. Fans can catch the race live on the TSN+ app and FloRacing.com.
