Mooresville, North Carolina – Late Tuesday evening, the CARS Tour Appeals Committee made a significant decision by amending its previous ruling on the penalty against Chad Bryant Racing. This change results in the reinstatement of Treyten Lapcevich’s victory at the North Wilkesboro Speedway Window World 125 of August 3rd.
The amendment follows a thorough review of the penalty that had initially stripped Lapcevich and Chad Bryant Racing from the win, the points and the prize money.
The original penalty was issued due to a technical infraction involving the #77 Chad Bryant Racing car. After a comprehensive appeal process, the CARS Tour Appeals Panel has determined that Lapcevich’s performance at the North Wilkesboro Speedway should be recognized as the rightful win.
While Treyten Lapcevich and Chad Bryant Racing have expressed their disappointment over the loss of the prize money and points, they are appreciative of the restored victory.
“I’m thankful to be acknowledged as the winner of the Window World North Wilkesboro Speedway race once again,” said Treyten Lapcevich.
“However, I am very disappointed about the points we’ve lost, which will affect our championship standing. We were in a strong position to contend for the championship with those points. Navigating through this appeal process was an emotional roller coaster. We’ve always adhered to the rules, so I hope this helps clarify some of the ambiguities in the rule book and procedures.”
Lapcevich expressed his gratitude for people who supported him, stating “I want to thank the CARS Tour and the appeal panel members for their collaboration. It was the first ever appeal for CARS Tour, but they understood the importance of implementing this for the future of the series. Special thank you to my sponsors Evirum and BKFC for sticking by me throughout this whole process. I look forward to continuing to compete and putting on a great show for our fans and leaving this in the rear view.”
Looking ahead, Treyten Lapcevich is focused on the remainder of the season with renewed determination. The reinstated victory underscores his exceptional skill and sets the stage for an exciting finish to the championship season.
The next zMAX CARS Tour race is set for August 24th at Wake County Speedway in Raleigh, NC. Fans can catch all the zMAX CARS Tour action live on FloRacing.
