Innisfil, Ontario – The busy weeks continue for the Queenston Chevrolet Buick GMC OSCAAR Modifieds presented by Just Foam It as they’re back in action for the second consecutive week in a row at Sunset Speedway.

As we glance through the field, there are several drivers to keep an eye on.

Kelly Balson showed that he has good speed with 11 top-five’s and 19 top-10’s in his last 23 series starts. The past Sunset Speedway winner hopes to carry the momentum into this weekend, after three podiums in his last four appearances at the Innisfil oval.

T.J. Edwards knows what it takes to get the job done as he is your current defending series champion, and picked up a checkered flag at Jukasa Motor Speedway in 2019. He has ran well at Sunset Speedway, scoring four top-10’s including three podiums across his last five appearances.

A.J. Emms enters this weekend with only nine finishes outside of the top-eight in the past 44 series starts. The driver of the No. 14 Modified has had success at Sunset Speedway previously, having won two of the series’ last five appearances at the Innisfil oval.

The No. 35 was in victory lane earlier this year at Sunset Speedway, courtesy of Andy Kamrath. He hopes to repeat that feat after having won three of the last series’ four events at Sunset, and a total of five checkered flags in his last six series starts.

Jason Keen knows how to get to Sunset Speedway victory lane, having done so in a Canadian Vintage Modified. He hopes to do the same in his OSCAAR Modified, following three top-five’s in his last five appearances. He currently has scored a top-10 in 11 of his last 13 tour appearances.

Dale Reinhart enters this weekend hopes to keep the ball rolling this weekend after scoring a third-place finish at Sauble Speedway. Notably, he has scored a top-10 finish in 15 of his last 18 series starts. The Innisfil, Ontario track has treated him well with just five finishes worse than fourth in his last 11 starts, including a runner-up at 2018 Fall Velocity.

Wally Wilson hopes to be in the thick of the action this weekend, aiming for a top-10 performance. Notably, he scored a track-best eighth at Sunset Speedway in 2020, and only has three finishes worse than 12th in his six Innisfil, Ontario oval appearances.

Marshall Schrenk hopes to keep the ball rolling this weekend following an eighth at Sauble Speedway for his second straight top-10 finish. He has ran well at Sunset Speedway previously, scoring no finishes worse than sixth in his four tour appearances including a 2021 Fall Velocity victory.

Luke Gignac will hope to turn things around after just missing the top-10 in the series’ most recent event at Sauble Speedway. He has scored a top-10 in each of his last three Sunset Speedway appearances.

Paul Townsend is no stranger to modifieds, having raced them across the United States previously. So far, this year hasn’t gone as planned with a pair of finishes outside of the top-10. He scored a track-best finish of 11th at Sunset Speedway last season.

Jake Watson has been solid this season so far, picking up an eighth at Sunset Speedway to go with a sixth at Sauble Speedway. He’ll aim for a top-five performance this weekend for a career-best performance.

Tommy Robb will hope to get back in the top-10 this weekend after failing to do so at Sauble Speedway. He was able to at Sunset Speedway in May with a ninth.

Tyler Liscum hopes the bad luck that has plagued his team thus far will shift around this coming weekend.

After missing Sauble Speedway, Ryan Dick will be in-action this weekend at Sunset Speedway, in hopes of redeeming himself after not taking the green flag in May’s feature due to motor issues. He scored three top-10’s on the tour in 2021, including a ninth at Sunset Speedway.

Herb Walters saw his feature end early at Sauble Speedway as a result of an incident. He hopes to turn things back around this weekend after impressing everyone with a fourth at Sunset Speedway in May.

Shawn Murray is set to make his anticipated debut with the tour, following success in Mini Stocks, Late Models, and the Ontario Legend Series previously.

Mike Hearty looks to carry the momentum into this weekend, following a sixth at Sunset Speedway to kick off 2022.
