Saskatoon, Saskatchewan – Louis-Philippe Dumoulin ends the trip to Western Canada with a second podium appearance. In eleventh place on the starting grid, the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare team has crossed the finish line in second place last night on the the Wyant Group Raceway circuit. A race marked by skill and strategy, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin has patiently made his way to the leaders, until taking the lead for the 246th and 247th laps. Now tied in fourth place for the championship, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin finds himself in the fifth rank. Everything is still possible, and we’re seeing a unified team head to the most important event of the year: the Trois-Rivières Grand Prix.
”In fourth during the trials, we were confident we had an efficient car in the long term. In qualifiers, the tire pressure was a little high, and we started the race further down the grid than we were expecting, but we were able to make up for it during the race. The team has done exemplary work to get the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare car back in good shape after the Edmonton race, and I’m very proud of them. On the outside edge during the last restart, we were able to fight to the end for a win. Second place will do, considering the circumstances, and we’re keeping up the momentum for Trois-Rivières,” shares an enthused Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
Home sweet home: Trois-Rivières Grand Prix – The Can-Am 50 tours (Trois-Rivières, Québec)
Here we are! It is with great pride that the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare team will present themselves at the mythical event which is the Trois-Rivières Grand Prix, on the August 13-14 weekend. This race always holds special importance for the Dumoulin brothers, as it takes place in their native town, imprinted with memories and success.
Saskatoon stepping up for the cause!
Cancer is a cause that affects all of us. Ambassadors tell us… their story, their sadness, as well as their fight and victory. They’ve answered the call, and we were able to raise another $200 for a grand total of $2210 to date. Trois-Rivières awaits… and we bet the trunks of the Dumoulin brothers’ cars will not be enough to fit all signatures… Will you face the challenge with us?
