Sixth and seventh events: Alberta has Energy 300 & Velocity Prairie Thunder 250

Toronto, Ontario – It is with the same tenacity that Louis-Philippe Dumoulin will compete this Saturday, July 23 on the oval track of the Edmonton International Raceway, Edmonton, Alberta. Being the first of two events in Western Canada, the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare team will then head to Saskatoon, Saskatoon, Saskatchewan. This segment is of special importance, as it signals the midpoint of this NASCAR Pinty’s season.

The sixth of 12 events in the 2016 season, the Alberta Has Energy 300 will be presented on the oval track of the Edmonton International Raceway (one quarter mile). Much like the race at Autodrome Chaudière, the 300 laps (75 miles) of the event will be punctuated by a 5-minute break around the 150th lap, in order to proceed with tire changes, and fuel replenishment.

“Edmonton is a track on which we’ve performed well on in previous years, and we very much like it. With two races on oval track in a row, the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare team has worked really hard to improve the settings and insure we offer the best possible results. Our goal is to come out strong at the Trois-Rivières Grand Prix,” explains Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
