Vallée-Jonction, Québec – It was quite a race that left its mark on Quebec’s National Holiday on the oval track of Autodrome Chaudière yesterday. In third place on the starting grid, Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, at the wheel of the #47 Dodge WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare, was able to maintain his position by strategically pull ahead of his opponents until the end of the CRS Express 300’s first third.

The #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare team has worked tirelessly last week in order to ensure a strong performance from the car. However, the discovery of an issue with the brand new engine has forced the use of a second-hand replacement. At first glance, results were unaffected as Louis-Philippe Dumoulin has managed to perform with the fifth best time in the trials session, and qualified the car in third place. However, after the mid-race mandatory pit stop, the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare car suffered from a loss of power.

“The #47 WeatherTech Canada / Groupe Bellemare cars are fast, we proved that in each of the first three races. We qualify within the leaders during the trials and qualifiers (5th , 4th and 3rd). The engine issue was found out, and we’re now looking ahead to our next challenge at ICAR next week,” explains Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.

Next event: ICAR Circuit - Ecko Unlimited 100, July 3rd, 2016
