Caistor Centre, Ontario – Sprint Car driver Jamie Turner and sons Cory and Ryan defended home turf at Ohsweken Speedway on Friday against invaders from the Patriot Sprint Tour, and emerged with a pair of top five finishes.

Ryan finished 2nd in the first heat race with his Aces Bar & Grill #91, while Cory was behind him in 5th in his Hill's Racing #97, and Jamie took 3rd in the second heat race in his Insta-Panels #11. Those results placed Ryan and Jamie in the A-Feature redraw, while Cory went to the Dash race, where he finished 6th.

Cory started 14th in the 25 lap A-Feature and quickly advanced into the top 10, but ended up settling for 13th at the finish. Jamie drew the 6th starting spot with Ryan in front of him in 4th. The two drivers advanced into the top five and raced hard for a podium spot with Mitch Brown. Jamie passed Ryan on lap 17, with Brown doing the same on lap 21, but Ryan passed both over the last three laps to claim Team Turner's first PST podium. Jamie settled for 4th, less than half a second behind his son.

“It was great to get the first TTR podium finish with the Patriot Sprints under our belt!" Ryan exclaimed. "(I) had a great battle with JT for the last half of the race, (and) was able to slip by him in lap traffic. All in all a great night for TTR against the Patriot Sprints.”

Ryan and the TTR crew made the trip to Dunnville for the Mudcat Festival Parade to represent their local sponsors on Saturday. The event featured a great turnout, and beautiful weather. Team Turner sends a big thank you out to everyone who visited with them at the event.

The team has a doubleheader weekend on tap, with a Friday race at Ohsweken's Wall of Fame Night, followed by a Saturday stop at Brighton Speedway with the Southern Ontario Sprints tour.
