When Zavitz Financial Strategies and ZFS Employee Benefits hosts the finale of Merrittville Speedway’s first Holiday Doubleheader of the 2016 Season Monfsy Msy 23rd – the Main Event will return to it’s more familiar roots when the 358 Modified Super DIRTcar Series returns for a 100 lap salute to the driver we lost to cancer in February of 2015.

“We’re expecting quite a field to challenge our Pinty’s 358 Modifieds,” relates Merrittville GM Erica Bicknell-Jones, “… any of our Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Drivers have a shot at Victory Lane against drivers following the series. It’s the first stop so it’s anyone’s guess who will be first to lead the Series’ Points.”

With the rain-out of Cotton Inc Night which was to launch the 2016 Triple Crown Series for the Van Raine Construction 4 Cylinders – Monday’s Event is the new date for that Mini-Series.

Set to make it’s debut is the first event of the new for 2016 Eataly Foods Triple Truck Challenge by Tomaski Racing that will feature the Mike Knapp Ford Pro 4 Trucks from the Humberstone Speedway.

Since embarking on his own racing career former Brian Stevens Crew Member and Sponsor Danny Wurster of Niagara Falls has always raced his #44 Truck. For 2016, Wurster honors Stevens taking his 444 number along with the orange coloring that we all remember.

Also joining the Holiday Special Event is the 2nd visit of the Sweeney Chevrolet Buick GMC RUSH Late Model Touring Series powered by Pace Performance. Max Blair of Centerville, Pennsylvannia won the inaugural visit last season.
