Thorold, Ontario – Niagara’s Complete Concrete Contractor is set to host a Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Saturday May 14th that will feature the opening round of the 2016 Triple Crown Series for the Van Raine Construction 4 Cylinder Division at Merrittville Speedway.

During intermission, also taking the spotlight will be the Tuesday Night races that compete in the Lucas Oil Weekly Karting Series with a pre-race display and exhibition races.

“Many veteran drivers got their start in kart racing back in the day before our track was established,” said (Merrittville Speedway GM), “in recent years we’ve had many newer drivers join our Saturday Night ranks – especially the 4 Cylinder Division.”

The Triple Crown Series for the Van Raine Construction 4 Cylinders is a three race Mini-Series and the field should include former karters Alex Riley Kourtney Kocarik, Vincent Pagnotta, Tom Neale, Austyn Werstroh and Kyle Miller … the last 4 all 4 Cylinder Rookies in 2016. Drivers including Kyle Rothwell, Tyler LaFantaisie, defending 4 Cylinder Champion Rob Goulding and Tony Kelly have added Tuesday Nights to their racing schedules.

“When you look through the fields from last week’s events there were more than 30 drivers that have raced karts at one point in their careers or still are spread throughout each division,” added (Merrittville Kart Race Director) Jeff Riley, “Saturday Night or maybe on a Tuesday throughout the summer you might catch some future stars in action.
