CAMBRIDGE, ON- 2008 Can-Am Midget champion Daniel Bois has announced a partnership with Mike Schmidt's London Recreational Racing team for the 2014 season.
'I couldn't be happier', beamed Bois upon releasing the news. 'Mike and I spoke towards the end of the 2013 season and the timing wasn't right for either of us. I'm ecstatic that we're able to make this work for 2014'.
With Schmidt's help, Bois plans an aggressive schedule that will take him across Ontario in what could end up being a wide variety of different race cars.
'Our goal for this season is to race as much as possible', explained Bois. 'I'm going to race as many TQ Midget races as possible, and we've got a couple other irons in the fire that will allow us to race a variety of different cars and series. 2014 is going to be huge!'
On partnering with Bois, team-owner Mike Schmidt explained the decision was a no-brainer.
'There aren't many drivers in Ontario that are as naturally gifted as Daniel. I love his driving style, but more importantly I love his work ethic both inside and outside of the car. He's a perfect fit for our team'.
In joining London Recreational Racing, Bois sees an opportunity to push himself by being aligned with some of the top talent in the province.
'Mike has put together an incredible roster', said Bois. 'From Shawn Chenoweth to Andrew Gresel to Brad Collison, this team is absolutely stacked. I'm a competitive guy, and I'm going to want to make sure I'm producing just as much as my teammates are. Iron sharpens iron, and I feel being around champions is only going to help push my game to the next level'.
