March 4, 2014 THOROLD, ONTARIO – When it comes to racing at Merrittville Speedway – one of the biggest fans has to be Brian Simms.

Every Saturday Night you can see his passion for the sport in his support of several of our Lucas Oil Weekly Racing Series Teams through his Brian’s Tire Repair St. Catharines business.

In 2014 you will see that he has a passion for all sports after opening up a new business – Brian’s Sports Cards & Collectables which will be presenting a Fan of the Week Contest at Merrittville Speedway.

“Since I was a kid I have been collecting memorabilia and over 30 years … it has grown to quite a lot,” revealed Simms in his newly opened 150 Hartzel Road location, “when you visit … you will find that we have something for sports lovers of all kinds … you might also find some non-sports treasures too! “

While the newly opened business showcases much of his collection and new items … Simms’ home has 2.800 square feet of living space dedicated to his collection complete with a Dale Earnhardt Junior and Senior Room … a Wayne Gretzky Room and a third honoring his beloved Boston Bruins.

Brian’s Sports Cards and Collectables is open Monday to Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM and carries all your favorite racing, hockey, football, baseball and other sports. A website … www.brianscollectibles.com will soon go live on the internet.

Team Brian’s Tire Repair Drivers that will also sport the new Brian’s Sports Cards logo in 2014 include Hoosier Stocks Chris Crawford, Rob Murray and Brad Sheehan, the J&S Heating and Air Conditioning Modified Lite of Paul Klager, the Bobcat of Hamilton 358 Modified of Tim Jones, the Rick’s Delivery Sportsman Cars of 2013 Mr. DIRTcar Champion Brad Rouse and 2014 Turn 4 Collision 4 Cylinder Rookie Alex Riley.

Race Fans can look forward to meeting Team Brian’s Tire Repair/Brian’s Sports Cards & Collectibles Drivers at an Official Grand Opening in May.

Two years away from celebrating its 25th year in business in 2016, Brian’s Tire Repair Night at Merrittville Speedway annually sees the Championship Chase Finale officially closing the Points Races with Saturday September 2nd reserved for 2014’s edition.

As Race Fans enjoy each week’s race to the top of the Point Standings … grandstanders can now look forward to the Brian’s Sports Cards and Collectibles Fan of the Week Promotion with a prize of tickets to the next event and a Grand Prize at the end of the 2014 Season.

“Hopefully our fans will be treated to the year we saw last year with many of the Championships coming right down to Brian’s Tire Repair Night ,” exclaims (Merrittville GM) Erica Bicknell-Jones, “and when someone is picked as our Brian’s Sports Cards and Collectables Fan of the Night … that will be a treat too!”
