Trois-Rivières, Québec – Tenacity is a trait that defines Jean-François Dumoulin’s attitude since the beginning of the season, and he will display the same determination behind the wheel of the #04 Dodge Bernier Crépeau / Bellemare / MIA this weekend. For the first time, he will race on the oval track of the Riverside International Speedway in Antigonish, Nova Scotia this Saturday, August 15. Race after race, Jean-François Dumoulin makes progress, in great part thanks to the support of partners who believe in his potential. His goal is first and foremost to gain experience, lap by lap, and familiarize himself with each circuit to be able to come back strong next year.

“Without the support of our partners, I wouldn’t be here today. I’m getting better at racing on oval circuits, times are improving, and I’m really grateful to be able to participate in more races than initially planned [only six events were confirmed at the beginning of the season]. We’re currently in ninth place in the ranks, and we’re hoping to get closer to the top 5,” explains Jean-François Dumoulin.

Considered a replica of the famous Bristol Motor Speedway (Bristol, Tennessee, USA), the Riverside International Speedway track (Antigonish, Nova Scotia) is known for its steep incline. Éric Laperle, crew chief, and his teammates of the #04 Dodge Bernier Crépeau / Bellemare / MIA group will have to be up to the challenge once again during pit stops.

“I’m happy to come back on oval track, it’s a fast one and we’ve discussed strategies with my brother Louis-Philippe. I really cannot wait to go back to the Maritimes, it’s been a while, especially as I have family over there, in New-Brunswick,” shares the driver of the #04 Bernier Crépeau / Bellemare / MIA car.

* The race will be broadcast on TSN on August 22 at 6:30 p.m. and on RDS2 on September 4 at 7:30 p.m.
