St-Eustache, Québec – Tenacity and perseverance are traits that defined Jean-François Dumoulin’s driving yesterday, as he crossed the finish line in the top 8 on the oval track of Autodrome St-Eustache. The day was marked with the determination of the #04 Bernier Crépeau / Groupe Bellemare / MIA team. Practice time was cut short by several laps due to a part breaking. However, Éric Laperle, crew chief, has made effective adjustments, which allowed the road circuit specialist to stand out during all 256 laps of the Lucas Oil National 250 event.
“The team has worked really hard, and the result does not reflect their effort nor the quality of JF’s driving. However, it’s still another top 8 performance, and we’re approaching the Trois-Rivières Grand Prix with the same tenacity,” shares Éric Laperle, crew chief for the Dodge #04 Bernier Crépeau / Groupe Bellemare/ MIA. Jean-François Dumoulin continues : “The car was fast thanks to Éric Laperle’s adjustments in the pits. It would have been great to benefit from the lucky dog earlier in the race, but I’m getting more and more confident driving on oval circuit, and I was able to fight with the best.”
