Trois-Rivières, Québec – Halfway through the 2015 season of the NASCAR Canadian Tire series, a single point separates Louis-Philippe Dumoulin from third place in the championship. The entire #47 WeatherTech Canada / Group Bellemare team is looking forward to renewing last year’s success, and to climbing on the podium at the end of the “Lucas Oil National 250” event that will take place on Saturday, July 25th at Autodrome St-Eustache. St-Eustache is synonymous with victory for Louis-Philippe Dumoulin, as it was also there that he has gotten first place in the Formula Ford series in 2002, the same year he won the championship title.
A single common goal...accumulating points for the championship
“In the current situation, it’s important to finish in the top 3 as often as possible. With five races out of eleven left to go, the 2015 championship race is getting tighter. We know that the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Group Bellemare car is fast and powerful, both on oval track and road circuit. We’ve proven this once again in Western Canada by finishing in second place in Edmonton, and by leading for much of the race in Saskatoon. The mechanical team at King Autosport is doing amazing work, and the strategy we use is being targeted so we can gain a maximum amount of points in each race,” explains Louis-Philippe Dumoulin.
2015 season: Six races down, five more to conquer
To date, the driver of the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Group Bellemare car occupies the fifth place in the championship. Only a single point separate the 2014 champion from the third place. Beyond a few adjustments since the beginning of the season, Mario Gosselin, crew chief, King Autosport, and the #47 WeatherTech Canada / Group Bellemare team have offered cars that made it possible to fight among the leaders:
Qualifying: Four times in the top 5, and two starts in sixth and seventh place
Results: Five top 10s, including a podium (2nd place) and a fourth place
Trois-Rivieres Grand Prix
