Mirabel, Québec – Jean-François Dumoulin and his teammates of the #04 Bernier Crépeau / Group Bellemare / MIA team have had a weekend marked by ups and downs at ICAR. However, thanks to the support of his partners and the interesting results of the first races, the elder Dumoulin brother is able to confirm his participation in the next two events which will occur in Western Canada on July 11th in Edmonton, and on the 15th in Saskatoon.

The #04 Bernier Crépeau / Group Bellemare / MIA team has started the weekend with braking problems during the practices. Adjustments have been made to regularize everything, however, they were short on time to stabilize the suspension. “The car was understeering a lot during high-speed turns. The more aggressive I was, the more the back of the car slipped. The race was not a pleasant one, and I fought until the end. Fourteenth place is a disappointing result in the circumstances. The good news is that we’ll make the trip to the West,” explains Jean-François Dumoulin.

Western Canada : Edmonton International Raceway (July 11) and Auto Clearing Motor Speedway (July 15)

Thanks to Motorsport In Action’s purchase of two cars, Jean-François Dumoulin had the opportunity to announce, for the first time in the NASCAR Canadian Tire series, his participation in six races even before the beginning of the season.

In four events behind the wheel of the Dodge #04 Bernier Crépeau / Group Bellemare / MIA, Jean-François Dumoulin has demonstrated his ability to perform on two different types of circuits (two top-5s, including one podium, 3rd place at the Canadian Tire Motorsport Park). The trip to Western Canada will be an occasion for him to refine and showcase his driving approach on oval track. “We’re currently in seventh place in the championship, and our goal is to finish our races and make sure we maintain a good position in the general standings,” mentions a confident Jean-François Dumoulin.

* The race will be broadcast on TSN on Saturday July 11 at 1 p.m. and on Saturday July 25 at 2 p.m. on RDS2.
