Toronto, Ontario - Yamaha Motor Canada is pleased to announce the return of the bLU cRU Factory Ride Award for the 2019 Flat Track Canada national championship season. This marks the second consecutive year the popular program will be made available to racers outside the motocross discipline.

In addition, Yamaha is posting over $12,000 in bLU cRU contingency rewards in the Expert and Intermediate classes.

The inaugural bLU cRU Factory Ride Award for Canadian flat track racing was won last year by Jake Rainville (Welland, ON), who won the free use of a Yamaha YZ motorcycle for the 2019 campaign, as well as a $2,500 parts credit and a graphics kit. The award is given to the Novice rider with the most year-end points in the Novice DTX class. Rainville will campaign a new 2019 Yamaha YZ450F with the exclusive Power Tuner app, allowing him to tune wirelessly via smartphone based on track conditions.

"Riders really took notice when we presented Jake with the first bLU cRU Factory Ride Award in flat track last year," said Graeme Jones, marketing coordinator at Yamaha Motor Canada. "He is proof that this program is the real deal, and we hope it reinforces the fact that Yamaha is here for Canadian grassroots racers."

Details on the Factory Ride Award and contingency program are below.
