Thorold, Ontario – Despite a strong effort with dark clouds most of the day and a light shower just before race time Mother Nature was unsuccessful in winning another Lucas Oil Weekly Karting Series Night.
Tuesday August 25th however did see a first time winner as a late decision to race paid off for former Saturday Night Van Raine Construction 4 Cylinder competitor Tony Kelly who won the Cassell Manufacturing Senior Fun 20 lap Feature. Kelly scored the win in a Kart regularly driven by his daughter Brittany in the Junior 1 Division besting a season high field of 9 starters.
Three drivers would take home their second wins of the season – Spencer Maytum, Joey Priestley and Travis Majuery in the Tim Phillips Garage KC Auto Parts Novice 2, RCM Racing Equipment Junior 1 and Wilder Racing Engines Senior Animal Divisions.
Performance Manufacturing Divisional action also had Logan Iliffe visit KC Auto Parts Victory Lane for the 4th time in the Vansickle Pet Valu Novice 1 Division while Dalton Slack would earn his 8th win in the Ed MacPherson Construction Junior 2 Division.
Joshua Hansen continues to lead all drivers in the win column after taking home his 10th Superior PetroFuels Junior Restricted win of 2015 in 12 starts.
