Peterborough, Ontario – Canadian Touring Car Championship (CTCC) driver Kyle Tasker is proud to announce a special partnership with Laps for Muscular Dystrophy (Laps4MD). Together they will be raising funds in support of “Butterflies for Khloe” at the upcoming Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo - March 11, 12 & 13, 2016.

Tasker was touched by the story of a Peterborough family who received devastating news last week about their little girl Khloe who was recently diagnosed with a form of Muscular Dystrophy known as spinal muscular atrophy (SMA), a rare incurable genetic muscle-wasting disorder. Tasker reached out to Laps4MD founder Brad Miller and expressed his desire to help Matthew and Jessica Madgett and their daughter Khloe.

Khloe is quickly beginning to lose any type of independent mobility. Laps for Muscular Dystrophy and Tasker aim to help make a difference by raising funds to help the family through this diagnosis.

“Khloe and her parents will face many challenges in the coming weeks and years. As a parent myself I was compelled to help in any way I could. I wish to thank the organizers of the Motorama Custom Car & Motorsports Expo for their support of this initiative.” said Tasker.

Tasker’s Canadian Touring Car Championship #17 Hyundai Tiburon will be one display in the Canadian Motorsports Expo Racers’ Corral providing a unique opportunity to help raise funds for the Madgett family and awareness for Muscular Dystrophy.

During the Motorama Show Tasker, together with Laps 4 MD will be selling paper butterflies for $5 which can be purchased by show attendee’s on Saturday in support of #ButterfliesForKhloe. The goal will be to ‘Cover Kyle’s Car’ in Butterflies for Khloe. Tasker and Laps for Muscular Dystrophy will be donating the funds raised by the sale of the paper butterflies at Motorama to Khloe’s family to help assist in her care.
