Saint-Eustache, Quebec – Kevin Lacroix and NAPA Racing are gearing up for the NASCAR Canada season finale at Autodrome Montmagny. Lacroix currently sits second in the championship standings, trailing Marc-Antoine Camirand by 20 points. While winning the title at this stage isn’t impossible, it’s going to be a steep challenge.
For Lacroix to have a shot at the championship, Camirand would need to finish outside the Top 20. Although that scenario is unlikely, a race victory is well within reach. Securing his 6th win of the season would further solidify Lacroix’s position as the driver with the most victories in 2024.
“We did some testing at Montmagny a few weeks ago to make sure we’re fully prepared for Sunday,” said the driver of the #74 Quick Strut / NAPA Racing Dodge. “I really enjoy racing on the larger ovals, like this one. They’ve always been good to me.”
This will be a first for most drivers in the field, as the series has never competed on this track before. “I’m excited to have the season finale here in Quebec. I’m sure the grandstands will be packed with fans.”
In the last few races, Lacroix and the other top drivers have put on quite a show for the spectators, and the season finale promises to deliver more of the same. Everyone will be pushing hard to claim the first-ever win at this track.
“Since Delaware, the team has been working around the clock to get the car ready for the final race of the season. It’s going to be 250 intense laps, but we’re ready for it.”
The XPN 250 will be a two-day event, with practice and qualifying on Saturday, followed by the race on Sunday, September 22, at 1 PM. Fans can watch the race on the TSN+ app or FloRacing.com.
