Most, Czech Republic – This weekend's Formula Renault Northern European Cup race event at Autodrom Most in the Czech Republic gave drivers and teams all they could handle. After a perfect day of testing on Thursday and another sunny day for Free Practice on Friday, the skies opened up and created havoc for the remainder of the weekend.

After a chaotic first qualifying session, and then suffering a mechanical failure at the start of a very wet second qualifying session, Canadian race car driver David Richert battled his way from a starting position of 27th to score a couple of points with a 19th place result.

"It was obviously disappointing to have the car stop out on circuit after only completing one lap of the qualifying session, but these things can happen when running a car in such difficult weather conditions. I am very satisfied that we were able to come back and finish the race with a decent result." -David Richert

A more detailed summary of the race weekend will be available at RichertRacing.com late Monday....
