Ferrari Challenge North America To Continue Under IMSA Sanction Through 2017

Daytona Beach, Florida – The International Motor Sports Association (IMSA) and Ferrari Challenge North America today announced a three-year extension of its partnership to continue

running the Ferrari Challenge under IMSA sanction in North America through the 2017 season. Established in 1993, and now in its 22nd year, Ferrari Challenge also has series in Europe and Asia Pacific.

The Ferrari Challenge North America calendar consists of seven race weekends, each featuring a pair of 45-minute races. The 2015 season began this week with a doubleheader at Daytona International Speedway in advance of the 53rd Rolex 24 At Daytona, which opens the 2015 TUDOR United SportsCar Championship.

“We are very pleased to extend our relationship with Ferrari Challenge for another three years,” said IMSA CEO Ed Bennett. “Ferrari is an iconic premium automotive brand that we’re proud to be associated with, not only in the TUDOR Championship with its GTLM and GTD programs, but also with the Ferrari Challenge single-make series. Between IMSA and GRAND-AM Road Racing, we have enjoyed a longstanding relationship with Ferrari Challenge which has proven to be a tremendous value and experience for customers and fans alike.”

"We are pleased to extend our long-standing partnership with IMSA for the Ferrari Challenge,” added Edwin Fenech, President and CEO of Ferrari North America. “IMSA has provided professionalism and

pedigree to the series for our drivers. We are especially happy to kick off the Ferrari Challenge season this weekend as a support race to the renowned 24 Hours at Daytona.”
