London, Ontario – Matt Pritiko is hungry to return to Pro Late Model action and will get the chance to jump back in the seat of his Global Warranty No.21 Toyota Camry as the APC United Late Model Series heads to Flamboro Speedway on July 15 for the London Recreational Racing 100.

Pritiko enters the fifth race of the season seventh in the series point standings, but that number doesn’t tell the full story. Pritiko has one top-five and three top-10 finishes, but deserved another top-five finish two weeks ago at Delaware Speedway.

“We were passing for third place coming out of turn two at Delaware and the caution came out,” Pritiko said. “We got stuck on the outside for the restart and got shuffled back. We had a fast car at Delaware, it was just unfortunate to have the caution with three laps to go. It hurt us.”

The medicine for Pritiko is a return to Flamboro Speedway. Pritiko has several victories at the Millgrove, Ont. track in his career. Pritiko finished ninth at that track on June 10 and was ready to

“We’re always fast at Flamboro and everything’s working well right now. Last time we were there, we were fast. Fast in practice, things just fell apart in the end. We have the setup down pat. We’re really looking forward to going back there.”

As the APC Series concludes the first half of its season this weekend at Flamboro, Pritiko knows he needs to begin making his move up the standings starting this weekend.

“These next two races are pretty key,” Pritiko said. “We’ve won before at Flamboro two or three times. We have Sauble Beach coming up (on August 5) and we know we’re fast there because we’ve won and have the track record there. We need wins at both of them to try and get back into the points chase.”

Pritiko and his Global Warranty have assembled an impressive program for their APC Series effort. Now they just need one final ingredient.

“I think we just need luck,” Pritiko said. We’re quick. We have speed, good times, good equipment and great setups and support behind us. It’s nothing you can control at this point.”

Pritiko will continue to control everything he can and prepare for each race in the same way that allows them to compete at the front each weekend.

“We know we’re fast every weekend. We’re in the top-three in practice wherever we go,” Pritiko explained. “We have one of the fastest cars out there and we’ve definitely shown that with qualifying on the pole at Delaware.”

The key to earning the victory this weekend will include a strong starting spot, so speed in time trials will be an important factor for Pritiko at Flamboro as he guns for his first win of the season.
