Montreal, Quebec – Alex Labbe, driver of the No. 32 Can-Am/Kappa Ford Fusion for Go FAS Racing (GFR), collected his first win of the NASCAR Pinty’s Series season two events ago at Delaware Speedway to virtually clinch his spot at the very top of the 2017 NASCAR Pinty’s Drivers Standing. Now, he would like to check another item off his to-do list Saturday afternoon at Exhibition Place in Toronto for the Pinty’s Grand Prix.

Known for its very tight walls in beautiful downtown Toronto, the Exhibition Place offers a handful track forcing drivers to be at the top of their skills. Alex Labbe will be back behind the wheel for his fifth race of the year and his second appearance in the street of T.O. “I think everybody loves the character of this racetrack but, it also means hard work for us. I feel confident about my team, it seems to me that we found the most effective way to work together and we can overcome any obstacles,” express Labbe who’s now sitting second in the drivers' standing, 5 points behind the leader and 11 points in front of the third driver.

With only 35 laps to race, no obliged pit stops and 11 right and left turns, the No. 32 Can-Am team is expecting an eventful race. “I learned the hard way how walls can be tight last year. However, it’s an unforgettable experience that forged me to overcome any fears at this track. Coming into this year’s event, I anticipate a great weekend,” explains Alex Labbe with excitement.

Since Labbe scored five consecutive Top-5 in the 2017 campaign, he now looks to build on his playoff points heading into the championship run with 9 races remaining.

Schedule: Friday: Practice from 11:55 a.m. to 12:55 p.m., qualifying at 4:05 p.m.; Saturday : drivers autograph session 12:30 p.m. and the race starts at 3:45 p.m.
